Go Bright for Bradbury
Go Bright for Bradbury

Wear something bright. Bring £1. Support Bradbury Fields.
Go Bright for Bradbury is a fun and simple fundraising day for schools, nurseries and youth groups.
Pupils, teachers and staff are invited to wear something bright, bring a £1 donation and help raise vital funds for Bradbury Fields, a local charity supporting blind and partially sighted people across the local community.
Your Go Bright Day can take place at any time to suit your school calendar.
It is an easy way to bring your school community together while helping students learn more about sight loss, visual impairment and inclusion.

A Go Bright Day is a simple and engaging way to:
Support a vital local charity
Develop students’ awareness of sight loss and visual impairment
Encourage empathy, inclusion and understanding
Bring your whole school community together
Help local blind and partially sighted people
Give pupils, teachers and staff a fun reason to wear something bright
Every £1 raised helps Bradbury Fields continue supporting people living with sight loss in the local community.
Go Bright is not just about wearing bright colours. It also gives pupils the chance to learn more about visual impairment and the importance of creating a more accessible and inclusive community.
Bradbury Fields may be able to visit your school to deliver an age-appropriate assembly or awareness session before your Go Bright Day.
This could include:
An introduction to sight loss and visual impairment
Videos about living with sight loss
Information about white canes and how they are used
Information about Guide Dogs
Stories and insights from volunteers or people with lived experience
An introduction to the work of Bradbury Fields
Sessions can be tailored for nursery, primary or secondary-aged pupils.
We may also be able to invite school ambassadors, charity committees or selected student groups to visit the Bradbury Fields Centre to learn more about our work.
Go Bright for Bradbury is open to:
