At Bradbury Fields we believe in empowering those living with sight loss by providing accessible, inclusive and life-enhancing training and activities. But we can’t do it alone. We need businesses and corporate partners to help us make a lasting impact in Liverpool and across Merseyside.
A partnership with Bradbury Fields is more than just corporate social responsibility — it’s about changing lives and creating inclusive opportunities. Supporting visually impaired individuals means:
Enhancing independence – Many people with sight loss face daily challenges. Your support funds essential training and activities that improve confidence and self-sufficiency.
Improving well-being – Exercise, creative outlets, and learning opportunities greatly enhance mental and physical health.
Building an inclusive community – By supporting Bradbury Fields, your company helps create a more accessible and inclusive Merseyside for everyone.
Provide bumpons to enable a visually impaired person to mark an appliance such as a microwave or washing machine, creating independence at home. Independence at home is crucial for blind and visually impaired individuals because it promotes dignity, confidence and a better quality of life.
Provide our Braille class with specialist paper, unlocking new opportunities for education. Learning Braille is important for many blind and visually impaired individuals because it enhances literacy, independence, and access to information.
Enable 20 visually impaired people to attend fully accessible weekly swimming sessions for up to 10 weeks. This helps to improve overall health and self-esteem. Swimming is an excellent way for visually impaired people to improve their health because it offers physical, mental and social benefits while being a low-impact and highly adaptable form of exercise.
Enable us to develop and deliver fully accessible health and wellness projects. Including poetry and music appreciation sessions, allowing time to be mindful and reflective whilst feeling connected and nostalgic.
Enable us to develop and deliver fully accessible Health & Wellbeing projects such as Pilates, to enhance focus and awareness along with improved co-ordination, spacial awareness and strength. Practicing controlled movements such as shifting weight, extended limbs, and recognise body alignment are key skills for independently negotiating your environment as a visually impaired person. Strengthening core muscles improves posture, making it easier to walk steadily and maintain balance allowing the body to adjust and stabilise reducing the risk of falls.
Enable us to develop and deliver fully accessible high-tech projects to enhance social connections and inclusion. Learning about accessible technology is essential for blind individuals because it:
Enhances independence, communication and access to information, making daily life, work and social interactions easier.
Expand educational and career opportunities as they help with reading, writing and studying, ensuring blind individuals can pursue education equally.
Improve mobility and navigation with GPS apps like Seeing AI and Be My Eyes by helping with real-time navigation.
Apps can read printed text aloud, scan barcodes for product identification, and help with cooking, shopping and managing finances, promoting self-sufficiency in daily tasks.
Allow Bradbury Fields to hire a Communications Officer — a vital role in helping us grow and reach more people. With a dedicated Comms Officer, we could:
Raise Awareness – Increase our online presence, ensuring more people know about our work and those who need us can find support.
Attract More Supporters – Engage donors, corporate partners, and volunteers through professional storytelling and social media outreach.
Secure More Funding – A stronger online presence means better fundraising opportunities, helping us sustain and expand our impact.
This one investment could have a long-term impact, amplifying our voice and helping us change even more lives.

Enable Bradbury Fields to employ a professional counsellor / talking therapist
The Importance of Talking Therapy for Visually Impaired People – And Why Your Company Should Fund It
At Bradbury Fields, we understand that sight loss is not just a physical challenge — it’s an emotional one too. Many blind and visually impaired people experience anxiety, depression, loneliness, and a loss of confidence. That’s why talking therapy is a crucial way of offering professional emotional support to help people navigate the challenges of sight loss.
Why Talking Therapy is Essential
Mental Health Support – Losing sight or living with a visual impairment can be overwhelming. Many individuals struggle with grief, isolation, and anxiety. Talking therapy provides a safe space to process emotions and build coping strategies.
Encouraging Independence & Confidence – Therapy helps individuals regain self-esteem and a sense of control, empowering them to adapt to life with sight loss and remain active in their communities.
Reducing Social Isolation – Blind and visually impaired people are at a higher risk of loneliness, which can lead to serious mental health challenges. Talking therapy provides emotional connection, reassurance, and strategies to build social confidence.
Long-Term Well-being – Addressing mental health early prevents long-term issues and promotes a healthier, happier life. Therapy can improve resilience, relationships, and overall well-being.
Why Your Company Should Fund This Role
Make a Tangible Impact – Your funding would directly support a dedicated Talking Therapist, ensuring that visually impaired individuals receive the emotional support they need. This role could change lives, reduce isolation, and improve mental health for countless people.
Demonstrate Social Responsibility – Supporting mental health services for a marginalised group shows that your company cares about inclusion, accessibility and well-being. It’s a powerful way to align with corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals.
Enhance Your Brand & Community Reputation – Partnering with us gives your company an opportunity to showcase your commitment to mental health and disability support. We’d be proud to recognise your contribution through publicity, social media, and events.
Together, We Can Change Lives
With your support, we can provide life-changing emotional support to visually impaired individuals who need it most. Let’s work together to make a lasting difference. Will your company help us fund this vital role?
Help Bradbury Fields purchase a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) a crucial investment that will make a real, lasting difference for blind and visually impaired people, especially those with additional mobility needs. A WAV would allow:
Greater Independence – Many of our service users struggle with transport barriers. A WAV will allow them to attend essential appointments, social activities and support sessions without relying on expensive or inconsistent public transport.
Inclusive Community Engagement – The WAV will ensure that no one is left behind — people with complex mobility needs will have equal access to our vital services, events and programs.
Stronger Support & Well-being – Reliable transport means users can stay active, connected and engaged, reducing isolation and improving mental health.
Your donation would directly fund the purchase of this vehicle, creating a tangible and immediate impact. Not only will your company be changing lives, you’ll also be demonstrating your commitment to social responsibility, community support and inclusion.
We would love to discuss how we can recognise your support through branding opportunities, press coverage and partnership visibility. Will you help us drive change?

Transport is Essential for the Health & Well-being of Visually Impaired People
At Bradbury Fields, our mission is to support blind and visually impaired people in living independent, fulfilling lives. However, lack of accessible transport is one of the biggest barriers individuals face in accessing vital services. That’s why providing transport is a key part of our health and well-being services.
How Transport Supports Health & Well-being
Access to Health & Support Services – Many of our users struggle to attend peer support groups and accessible activities due to inaccessible or unreliable public transport. Providing transport ensures they get the support they need.
Reducing Isolation & Loneliness – Blind and visually impaired people are at higher risk of social isolation, which can seriously impact mental health. Reliable transport helps them attend social events, exercise programs and community activities, keeping them connected and engaged.
Participation in Well-being Activities – From swimming and yoga to peer support groups, our health and well-being programs rely on safe, accessible transport. Without it, many service users would be unable to take part in activities that improve their physical and mental health.
Promoting Confidence & Independence – Reliable transport empowers our users to live more independently, helping them to feel more confident navigating the world. It removes the stress and uncertainty of relying on public transport, which can often be inaccessible or overwhelming.
Why We Need Support
Providing transport is costly but essential. With more funding, we can expand our transport services and ensure that no visually impaired person is left behind. By supporting us, you’ll be helping to improve health, well-being and quality of life for those who need it most.
